All of our wooden fences (except for Stockade panels) are built on site, not as pre-assembled panels, so they are customized to fit your terrain. They feature 3/4" thick boards and a full 4×4" post (not the usual 3.5×3.5" dimensions). Convex Picket Fence
Picket Style Fences are a traditional fence style that have remained a popular choice in the Buffalo, NY area and all across Western New York for many decades. Wood Picket fences have always been relatively inexpensive and easily repaired, and modern wood treatments & finishes make todays’ wood Picket fences a durable and comparatively low maintenance fencing choice. Picket Fence is constructed with 1×4" LifeWood pressure-treated red pine boards, spaced 3" apart. 1×6" boards are an option. This spacing allows easy movement of the wind through the fence. It also allows considerable viewing through the fence both into and out of your property.

Semi-Private Concave Fence with Gate

Semi-Private Style Fences are also a traditional fence style that have been popular in the Buffalo, NY area and all across Western New York for many decades. This style of fence is constructed with 1×6" LifeWood pressure-treated red pine boards, spaced 1.5" apart. This spacing still allows movement of the wind through the fence. Compared to the Picket Fence, a Semi-Private Fence allows decreased viewing through the fence making it more private.

Concave Board-on-Board Wood Fencing

Board-on Board Style Fences evolved from the Semi-Private Style Fence and are also a popular choice throughout Western New York. Board on Board fence panels feature boards on both sides of the fence making a more handsome fence from both sides. However, the extra boards also make this style a little more expensive. Board-on-Board Fence is constructed with 1×6" LifeWood pressure-treated red pine boards, spaced 4" apart. However, the boards on opposite sides of the fence are staggered so that viewing through the fence is essentially restricted except for small gaps that may be seen from an angle. This board spacing arrangement still allows movement of wind through the fence.

Privacy Style Fence

Privacy Style Fences are the most private option available in a wooden fence. They are durable, easily repaired, and a relatively low maintenance fencing choice. Privacy Fence is constructed with 1×6" and 1×4" LifeWood pressure-treated red pine boards, with no spaces between them. However, you can expect some small gaps over time due to board shrinkage. As the name implies, Privacy Fencing restricts viewing through the fence both into and out of your property.

City Fence is proud to introduce our new Arcadia Flat Top Wooden Privacy Fence constructed from LifeWood pressure-treated red pine boards with a 40 Year Warranty. Arcadia Fencing is a form of privacy fence, that features a unique Lintel Top and 2 different construction options. Each Arcadia Fence may be be constructed on your site with a choice of any of our available Post Styles: Straight, Chamfered, Gothic, French Gothic, Royal Gothic or Crown Gothic. The Arcadia Fence is custom fabricated on your lot to complement your terrain. It comes with standard height of 6′, but is also available in 4′, 5′, 7′ or 8′ panel heights. Standard panel width is 8′, but since the fence is custom built smaller panel widths may be constructed to fit your lot size.

Custom Board Style Fence

Custom Board Style Fences are a form of privacy fence, but made with a combination of Flat Top & Dog Ear boards, thus breaking up the straight line of a fence. They are durable, easily repaired, and a relatively low maintenance fencing choice. Custom Board Fence is constructed with 1×6" LifeWood pressure-treated red pine boards, alternating between Flat Top & Dog Ear, with no spaces between them. However, you can expect some small gaps over time due to board shrinkage. Similar to Privacy Fencing, Custom Board fencing restricts viewing through the fence both into and out of your property. Post spacing is usually 8′ and standard board heights are 4′, 5′ or 6′. Custom sizes are available and Custom Board Fences are constructed directly at your home to fit your specific terrain requirements.
